I have a 86 sami, bought some OD green coating from durabak. read the instructions just wanted to see if anyone has had luck and what is the best way. Thanks

are you using the smooth or textured stuff? I'm considering the smooth version on the outside and the textured inside. I'd like to know what you would thin it with to shoot thinner layers...
-
Im using textured but durabak suggests using Xylene to clean the surfaces as well to thin it out. Im sure it would work as long as you use the proper gun to shoot it with. Im doing OD green on the exterior and some autozone brand black for the interior. Going to start painting tomorrow!

I have seen 1 truck done with the durabak, very similar to the Herculiner bedliner, it looked nice at first but started breaking down and the rubber particles started to disintegrate within 8 months.

I agree, it is just not UV stable enough for the job. A higher qualitiy
commercial grade truck bed liner like SpeedLiner has much better
UV stability. (I am a former SpeedLiner installer/dealer)
Also, darker colors have better UV resistance due to higher levels
of pigments.

W e had already ordered the durabak. I followed the instructions to a T. It looks nice. If i have any problems i have all my stuff from them and will try to get it fixed. It came out nice tho

It does look like a nice job, how long does it take to cure/dry?
-
it has taken 2 full days to fully cure with constant heat.
