hi i just got lucky and bought a 2002 vitara (not the grand) for 500$, i did new rockers for it and front brake pad and passed safety inspection :)
my question is, is the old tracker/sunrunner/asuna lift kit fit a vitara? i wonder this as i can have billet aluminum coil spacers and strut spacers for cheap. but wonder if they are the same size, specially the 3 holes strut studs.
and also will 30-9.5-15 tires fit on my vitara without a lift? if not will the 2" suspension clear it good? i beleve the 15" rims will fit as its not a "grand" vitara?

strut spacers wont fit. different bolt pattern. coil spacers should fit, (i have grand vitara coil on my 90 kick) and have 2" spacers for a 1st gen waiting to go in.
-
that answer my biggest concern thanks, and another thing is can i do the strut mount flip? cause i got the big strut bar on top and dont know what to do with it. i have also heard of chevy exaust flange on the strut mount, is that for older trackers or newer?
-
the chevy flange cant be used on the newer kicks. they dont have the equal spaced 3 bolt pattern. will need a custom strut spacer or you buying the aftermarket strut spacers for a 2nd gen

I can supply the strut spacers for the new Vitara. BYW, Nice buy for $500. ;)

i got way lucky on that buy for sure, i have patched the rocker panels, put on new front brake pads, both driver side door handles and a flange gasket for the exaust, on the road switch to my name, new safety sticker and the price included dosent reach me a 1000$ lol. i heard jeff you sell lift kits, can you give me prices? michel_bouch1|removethispart|@hotmail.com
i am now debating on super swampers tires, either 27" or 28" witch one is closer from stock size? i am thinking 28" would be the best with the 2" lift. i don't want too much of a big tire as the 2.0L motor is not really powerful on highway speeds.but am willing to go a size or two bigger.

this is a pic of my 500$ vitara 8)

The strut spacers and rear coil spacers are different. Take a look at SR CUSTOMS for a complete lift or lift parts: http://www.srcustoms.ca/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=8&Itemid=56 (http://www.srcustoms.ca/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=8&Itemid=56)

nice, but i did just bought a set of jeff1997 lift. cant beat his price. i am thinking of a body lift but that is alot of work to put it in. i am now figuring what size of tire to put in. i now have 215/65/16 (stock) i am thiking 235/75/15 or equvalent in 16"rims.
