Title: Need a power outlet

Hello Everyone,

My 88 sami has no cigerate (sp) lighter and I want to have a place to plug in my spot light and radar detector ;D, just kiding on the radar detector. What have you guys done and how easy of a task is this?

i made a custom one in my tracker that is attached to the E-brake cover.  i just went out and bought 2 cig lighter thingys and 2 fuseable links and 2 lighted switches and some plastic.  i have it conected right on to the battery.  hope this helps.

You can buy just the socket, drill a hole in the dash and hook it up.

Or they have them in a plastic mount (they come in one, two, and three sockets) that screw under the dash.

Do make sure you put a fuse inline with the power pos cable.

my kick has a spot for one but there isnt, in summer i'll put one in, they cost 12 bucks i think
