I am sure that I read in here recently where somebody installed a Heep backseat. But I was thinking it was out of a YJ....
-
heh, I just need help with some kind of standard for seat brackets, what kind of metal, what style.. anyways.. I'll have to try the tool box! xD
-
Nobody has ever had to make seat rails for a back seat?? I really have no idea what standard to use, is there some kind of law against certain metal or..?
-
No laws really, but they do need to be securely mounted. I would make some brackets that tie into the existing bolt up spots, just some flatbar with the CJ brackets welded on should be find. If you want some additional strength, use some square stock or some angle.
-
well I don't have the cj brackets.. that's why I was posting :P buut what I ended up doing, not made yet, but I bought some 'square stock' (?) I think, (one 2x2 one 2x4 for an angle) really sturdy fricken stuff, and I'm gonna just drill through top and bottom and bolt it down.
I'm terrible at welding :P
when it's done I'll show what I did.
thank you drone :)
