Title: Idle issues ?
Post by: jlavergne9 on February 08, 2012, 04:26:08 AM
Hey guys I have a weber carbed 1.3L 1986 Sammy that I recently bought and the only issue I'm having is when I start it it revs up to about 3500-4000 Rpms I'll hit the gas and it'll come down to 2000-2500 Rpms for about 5-8 mins til it's warmed up and it'll go down to 900-1000. Is this normal? Can I make some kind of adjustments? please help a noob out . Thanks

Put a light duty spring on the linkage to help throttle return.

I'll bug a buddy that ran a Webber before switching to FI, see if he had that problem.  My SJ-410 does the same thing with a side-draft carb, I just accept that I need to tap the throttle to get it to drop the RPM's at idle.
