Title: coolant leak from back right under car
Post by: silverivyraven on February 09, 2012, 03:59:39 PM
I bought a 2000 grand vitara in August 2011 and 1 1/2 months later found out the upper oil pan had a leak so they had to take out my engine, etc.

Now over the last couple of months every two weeks the coolant resevoir is low and I need to fill it. This weekend I checked it and it was almost empty. Today I went out to my car to drive home and notice a puddle about 15 inches long under the tow piece on the back right and it had a greenish tinge. Is this possibly where my coolant is going and if so what could it possibly be that needs fixed now?

Thank you in advance

You need to get under the car and track that leak down, I would suspect a heater hose clamp was overlooked and not tightened.

I don't know why it would be that far back, are you sure that its not fluid from the rear window washer?
