Title: Front sway bar!
Post by: longarm85 on February 14, 2012, 06:33:31 PM
Do i need one.  I just  recently bought a 1986 tin top , that i am restoring , i am rebuilding the front knuckles , and noticed no front sway bar, it will be a daily driver with light wheeling , i plan on a calmini shackle reversal and 235 tires.

no need for shackle reversal if you're only running 235s I run 255s on mine as is.

I would say so. Mine has one and I'm pretty sure all other setups have one. I suggest one if it's going to see any road time, these things tend to be blown around by the winds a lot at high speeds (55-60mph). Put it on there and if you decide you don't like it, take it off, but you'll just end up putting it back on.

In case you haven't already found one, I saw several sway bars on eBay today for cheap
