Title: tracker gearing ?

been all over the axles and can't find gear ratio tag . 93 tracker 1.6  8v 5spd  what is the most common gear ratio ? what would you suggest for 31's and 75-80 percent road use for gears ?

Trackicks don't have axle tags.
Yours had 5.12s from the factory.

The only lower gearing options are 5.38s or 5.62s.  Or 5.83s, if you can find them....but I think I have only seen 1 set for sale, ever.
Just to clarify, while the 5.38s and 5.62s are somewhat rare to find, there are some that pop up for sale occasionally (I actually have sets of both in the classifieds section now).  But the 5.83s are practically impossible to find.

You will probably need to gear the transfer case.

so , basically , i need to look for a set of solid axles that i can get lower gears for more readily  , what would you suggest for 31's ? the transfer gears would only help the low , the high would still be too high .
