I have a stock 86 Samurai. I see that some sites claim that this lift will improve the ride of the vehicle. Has anyone found this to be true? I use my rig as a daily driver, but I do like the moderate lift look. Is there a down side to using a bolt on lift kit like this one? Thanks

I like it. Ride was way better.

A shackle reverse will defiantly improve drivabillity.
I have no experience with the Calmini product. (we usually fab up the conversion). So I cant be much help when it comes to the brand.....
The idea is a tried and true upgrade though...Boxcar...

I use it on my Samurai and have installed that lift on many other Samurai with good results. I do believe the ride is better but with stock springs and cheapo shocks it'll never be a 'Cadillac'. Having said that, its the best lift in the 2 to 3 inch catagory for the price that is currently available.
