the other day i was driving back from my buddies place and noticed a slight vibe when i was accelerating. i checked and the u-joint was pretty worn out and had some slop. i switched it out with a new one and the vibes continued and have been getting worse and worse to the point of where if i floor it it hurts my hand on the wheel from the vibes. it only happens when i am accelerating. the driveshaft does not have any dents in it so i have ruled that out. it does it in 2wd with the hubs unlocked so it cant be anything in the front. anyone have any idea what it could be? it has got me stumped.

forgot to mention that the vibration goes away when i get past 70kph. and it's not just in the wheel. the whole vehicle vibrates.

You only mentioned changing one U-joint, check/change the other one. U-joints are like rear tires, usually change both at same time. (Don't rotate them to the front! ;) )
If you are running on old tires, sometimes the cords in tires will break allowing it to go out of round at higher speeds causing vibrations. This usually happens towards the end of tire life, but the cords do not need to be exposed for this to happen, and is very hard to diagnose.

I checked the other u joint and it was good. Has a zerk fitting on it to so i greased it while i had the shaft out. The tires are fairly new toyo mud terrains with about 80% tread left. The vibration is strange because it is very bad at lower speeds and goes away at high speed. Also only happens when there is power applied. If i hold the clutch in it stops vibrating.

Broken motor/tranny/tcase mounts?
i was thinking it might be a broken tranny mount. the motor mounts are in good shape but i have not checked the tranny mount. the tracker does get fairly abused out on the trails so i wouldn't doubt that the mount is broken. could a broken tranny mount cause the type of vibration i described?

yep tranny mount is shot. took it for a romp in the bush with some buddys after work and could feel it moving more than it should through the shifter. it has bounced to a spot where it doesn't vibe now but the clutch has gotten very hard to press and feels sluggish on the return. i'm guessing it is because the tranny has shifted and the cable is rubbing somewhere. does anyone have a diagram of where the cable is routed? i would like to check it for wear just in case.
