Title: 3rd member guessing game

curious if anyone knows what broke? i hammered the throttle real hard in my sammy and i heard a loud popping noice on the rear end. i stopped left the vehicle in drive and got out to look. the rear driveshaft was turning and the 3rd member flange also but tires wouldnt turn even under acceleration.. i put it in reverse and the tries turn but making a popping noise, i then put it back in drive and the tires turn but makes the popping noise. i then lifted the rear off the ground and turned the tires by hand they both turn backwards fine (i have a spool) but bind up when i turn them forward. any suggestions?

I will be pulling the axles and 3rd member in a few days just curious as to what it may be while im waiting.
