Ok Guys I have been asking a few questions and getting all different answers. I am looking at putting a 3" body and a 3" suspension lift on a X90 1996
I have beeen talking to Calmini. But am totally lost after the last email
First they said the 3" body was not compatible but the 3" suspension was.
Then the 3" body was not compatable but they do not make a 2" body.
question is what is the largest combo lift kit i can install without major modifications.
IE can I install a Calmini 3" Body and suspension yes or no? If no what is the options i have?
Is there something out there better than Calmini?
Frankly the emails they have sent me have not been great. I heard from a few to stay away from Rocky Road. Which I still have not heard from. I was wondering is a spacer and shock extension an option or not good. There is a company in Quebec called Masterkit they sell a 5 " combo kit.
Any help greatly appreciated..

contact Simon Touron (daBoss) on shropshire-suzuki.co.uk, he ran an X90 with the Calmini kit, as I said on the other thread there were a couple of issues. I think bits4vits do a bodylift for the X90 which is far better quality than the Calmini body lift.

There is a company in canada that has a 4.5" suspension lift. ZukiNation makes the altered ego 4.5" kit, you can check it out in my install thread. http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/suzuki-sidekick-vitara-geo-tracker-(gen-1-platform)-1989-1998/install-altered-ego-4-5'-lift-kit/ (http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/suzuki-sidekick-vitara-geo-tracker-(gen-1-platform)-1989-1998/install-altered-ego-4-5'-lift-kit/) And you can still add a body lift if you desire, but not needed till you go to 33"+ tires.
And as far as I am concerned it is hands down better than the blue stuff, even with the very minor issues during install. http://www.alteredegomotorsports.com/tracker-suspension.html (http://www.alteredegomotorsports.com/tracker-suspension.html)

You can also ping the guys over at GenerationX90.com as they run x90's with some success. :)

Is the generationx90 site dead.
I have sent a few emails and been there a ton of times but nothing new and no replies?

I know with out a doubt that the Calmini 2" suspension lift works on an X-90 and see no reason why the 3" would not fit.... (I had a 2" lifted X for years). I never attempted a body lift due to not wanting to mess with the bumper brackets... Typically that is where a body lift 'wont work' with a variation of a vehicle. I'm 90% sure you would, at a minimum, need to make/modify bumper brackets to make any body lift work.
As for quality of lifts, I can not speak for other brands, but I purchased my Calmini 2" kit in 1995 used it on 2 vehicles over a period of 10 years and it was still on the X when I sold it to Digger and he drove it home 1400 miles up the east coast.... My 3" lift was used over 8 years and still in decent enough shape to sell when the kick was parted out during the build of my current rig.

Hmmm, let's see... I'll just dig through our archives a minute...

This X90 was built at the Calmini shop and may have some answers to your questions.
