ok my 86 sami today sprung a leak from the hose connecting the heater core to the intake. well no biggie, i got a new hose clamped it on and filled it with coolant. the guy sold me gm coolant said id be fine. im sure gm is fine. BUT im guessing from the heater core it is leaking into the cab.... i have no clue what to do and i have to be able to drive by tomorrow. please help!

Put a bolt in the end of the hose and hose clamp it shut. Tie the hose back out of the way so it can't fall down and possibly bump the bolt loose. This will get you by until you have a chance to look closer at the heater core....
Tux... ;)

ok what i did was just take the hose from the intake and routed it up to where the second hose came out and connects to a valve. I have a lot of pressure in the system now. do you think its better to just use your idea?

bypassing the whole heater core should be fine.

Bypassing the entire heater core as you did is a far better route to go.

Maked no difference which way you go. as long as the leak is stopped. Sorry to read of your troubles. Hope you can repair it without much problems.
