Title: SUPERCHARGERS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Post by: wildgoody on April 19, 2004, 05:25:11 AM
If you want a Supercharger, look at a Paxton style,
it's belt driven, but is more like a turbo in design.
The advantage to the Paxton is it's design, easy
to plumb an intercooler, problem with it it that they
are harder to find, and expensive when you do.

Turbos on the other hand are more plentiful, and
used alot on factory turbo equiped cars, also don't
extract a HP penalty from the crank to drive when
not boosting.

I would do a custom SC setup if I could have found
the parts when I was looking at doing my setup, and
believe me, I did more than a little research on the
setup I have now.

look for some Ford Super Coupes, or other Supercharged
factory cars, this is the best source for the SC you seek  ;)

hey i don't know when ur planning an starting ur project, but Camden has reopened its doors and will be producing a supercharger by the end of the summer. i spoke with with the owner and they were looking for a drone to retro-fit. however they are based in Washington state. i called Hawk and spoke to Steve and they r supossed to get with Camden about test unit. they clame it will be a 30 min to 1 hour install and give a 200hp to 235 hp boost. however they don,t have any physcal #'s yet. that seems a little high for bolt on power to me. the super kit will be priced around $3500, but for that price it better produce the #'s they claim.

I just finished my turbo project on my tracker a couple of months ago. I have pics of my truck but am not quite sure how to post them, Im new to this sort of thing. but I am running 7 psi with a ihi rhb5 turbo. top mount intercooler.blow off valve. 2.5in exaust turbo back through a high flow cat. split into dual 2in at the flowmaster muffler.probably am around 185hp or so. but will break 200 when I install an apexi safc piggy back fuel computer, and bump up boost to 10psi. exaust comes out the 3 1/2 in tips through the bumper.also have a 3in body lift, with plans of the calmini 3in suspension. need more money. also plans for my truck were pushed back due to it being broken into twice, they stole my custom stereo, boost gauge,air/fuel gauge, custom gauge pod.just about 2500 bucks worth.trying to replace that stuff first. but have picks of interior as well sadly they are after the theft, but custom boxes for the stereo are still there. if you would like to see tell me how to post and I'll give it a shot.

You can go Downsize it. You should have sometype of Edit program for pics on you PC. Than you can resize it to like 72 pxls. I only know what I can do on my PC from lots of trail and error :D
More errors than trails :o

Smoke up your arss, way over stated, be carefull what you read too,
the 265 at the wheels is an RX7 not a Zuke.

And there is no bolt on 200-235 HP boost, boost would be stock + 200
uhh 300 HP stock bolt on, can you say grenade in 30 seconds.

10 PSI boost will give double the HP, stock 16V is 95HP, + 10 PSI is
close to 200, but it's a good bump no matter how you look at it.
