Title: ZUKIWORLD PowerFest - September 29th, 2012
Post by: ebewley on March 22, 2012, 06:35:14 PM
We are pleased to announce the addition of the PowerFest to our 2012 Schedule of events. We've decided to change it up a bit and go to a new place that should offer a wide variety of wheeling challenges and family fun too! This year's activity will be centered around the Ground Hog Rock Crawl located just East of Bend, Oregon. This is a well developed 4x4 OHV area operated by the BLM and FS in a cooperative venture. Complete with a rock crawling pit and large gravel mounds which are remnants of the old rock quarry; this play area has something for every OHV enthusiast. The Deschutes County 4 Wheelers hold an annual event there with a traditional scored rock crawl event and for those that are inclined, you may want to check that out. We on the other hand, will have a basic play day on the rocks with one or two led trail rides around the local area for any Suzuki 4x4 enthusiasts that would like to join us. We'll offer a free dinner to participants and we'll try to scare up some swag too.

DATE: September 29th, 2012

More information will follow and we are looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of this activitiy. Check back soon for more details and sign up information.

Hi Bob - Thanks for the offer, lets talk on the phone soon... By the way, did you happen to look at some of the stories from our previous Powerfests? That may give some more context. Plus, they're super exciting and interesting to read! :)

So Bob and I have been talking and we are thinking of bringing out the race zook to offer rides at the Christmas Valley dunes. Purely to build interest in the Zukiworld challenge and no cost of course. Is there any interest in this? Maybe we could get a couple other challenge cars out there?

I might be willing to bring mine as well, but I wouldnt take it to the dunes.  There are plenty of really fun roads very near the rock crawl area and I hate sand in my race car.
