We just bought a(nother) 2004 GV, but it only came with one remote. We bought a second remote and want to "program" it, but there's no Keyless Entry System box like there was on our older 2000. Any ideas without having to go to the dealer? TIA ~

That worked wonderfully when we had our 2000 GV, but we now own two 2004's and neither has the Keyless Entry System box cited in that document (our 2000 GV did). Sooooo, we're hoping to program our latest 2004 for a second remote. Still looking for help...

Try the procedure in that link - the 04 doesn't have a separate remote controller, it's handled by the BCM - if that doesn't work let me know, I have a slightly different procedure from the XL-7 service manual that you could try.

Thanks, Fordem!! When I'm back home in a few days, I'll be trying that. At least it didn't say, "...as the lady lies in waiting, stand on your head......"

Fordem - I'm up for your alternate procedure...the linked procedure did not work. When the doors were to lock & unlock automatically to indicate the controller was in "programming mode" that never happened. ;-(
