Post by: airdale navy on March 26, 2012, 06:38:21 PM
How much lift can you get by putting 4dr spring in a 2dr (sidekick)? And does it ride better than a suspension a lift.

You get between 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches, depending on the condition of both springs.  Seems like it is more noticeable on front.  The ride is better than spacers.  If you want more lift, there is Ford ranger springs for front, and Honda springs for the rear.

Just a word of caution with doing this.. there is a point where the CV joints tend to pull / blow out at flex. I am thinking this is somewhere in the 3-3.5" + range.

I used 2" spacers with 4 door springs for about 3-3.5" of lift. Although I had no problems it was mainly due to not wheeling it. (I sold it before having a chance to wheel it.)

You will also need to adjust your camber accordingly once the install is complete.
