wish I knew the exact answer you are looking for. but i do think your on the right track. Im going to do an electric fan for les drag on the motor & because I need the space! Only real problem I can see is figuring out a temp switch.
your other option is a toyota corrola (6 fin) fan, so ive read. But i dont know what year.

If your overheating the first thing to check is your radiator for clogs. I went through the electric fan thing for my turbo setup and all the overheating issues I had boiled ( no pun intended ) down to a radiator that had passages clogged. Couldn't tell it was clogged, water would pour right through it but after removing the top and having a look inside I found half or more of the passages were clogged. If you still want to go electric, I have 2 electric setups 14" and 16" both with nice aluminum mounts I'll sell ya cheap.

Well I had a good talk with a mechanic and have decided to go with a flex a lite fan from Low Range. It has a 12" diameter fan /10 blades and moves 1250 cubic feet of hot air out per minute while pulling only 9.5 amps. .My rad is new and working well but ,crawling around in low 1 can sure build up the heat under the hood and gets me nervous . This should do the job.I'll let you know soon
