Title: Rust repair panels
Post by: richiemahoneyjr000 on April 19, 2012, 12:51:49 AM
Does anyone know where i can locate rust repair panels such as the rear floor pan or sections, rear body mounts etc? Interior parts are needed to, such as radio bezel and console with attached lid? :)

You need to explain what rig you are looking for parts to fit . Most body panels are just fabbed out of sheet metal just as the body mounts ???

I think I'm going to order these for my vitara...then I will just have to bite the bullet and learn to weld.

As Kreator said, more information helps.
If you are doing any off road action, I would replace the rock panels with 2x4x1/8" rectangle tubing (rock sliders).  It takes a lot to dent them, unlike those stock replacement panels.
They were the first modification I did to my 93 Tracker, although I already knew how to weld.

Looks nice Kreator, I think thats exactly what my truck needs 8).  Maybe I can find someone to do the welding for not too much dough if I do all of the cutting and grinding of existing panels and fabricate the tubing myself...then again, i would really like to start welding haha.

Here's the ugliness (and poser flex shots):

Thats why I used 4x4 sqr tube was because of the rust all the way up to the door , I just kept cutting up in there till all the main rust was removed and made the rest and fit the tube in.
