Title: SO Close to getting a new Sammy
Post by: Mikej on May 09, 2012, 07:03:09 PM
Well, I've been working with a great guy who has a '88 Sammy with a 1.6 swap already done. Small lift with nice tires. Gears done already. Sweet ride and he's come down to what I can afford ... THEN IT HAPPENS!!! My daily driver - '03 Tacoma truck has a drive shaft failure. OUCH those things are expensive. I finally got mine out and to a drive line shop ... Toyota wants $1500 for a new one ... the drive line guy is going to build both pieces for like $650 ... and I hope it will be done by Friday.

Now that puts a crimp in my Sammy purchase. I sure hope it hangs around long enough for me to sell something to get that toy.
