Title: 99 1.6L ECM (engine computer)
Post by: fierodough on May 22, 2012, 05:12:59 AM
Hey guys!

Well I think I fired my ECM (or PCM, or ECU, whatever you guys call it) for my 99 Tracker 1.6l 5spd.

Can someone give me a list of replacement computers that would work? My computer is labled as 33920-66D2. What is the Vitara equivalent?

Thanks!

Got a PM back from Skyhirange, he doesn't have one for my truck. So still looking! any way to test the ECM? My truck won't start. No spark or fuel.

Does the Check Engine Light come on? could it be a bad fuse?

FYI...
ECU = Engine Contol Unit. ECM = Engine Control Module, these acronyms are essentilly interchangable and describe computer that controls engine funtions. The PCU (or PCM) Power Control Unit/Module was born when the computer took over other powertrain fuctions as well (transmission, AWD, brakes, etc.).

Will it turn over?
