Title: Distributor 87 sammi problem

I have a 87 sammi that doesnt have any of the engine bay wiring harness. The plan was to wire it up like a racecar and have a push to start style of ignition, but realised it has some sort of electronic ignition. I searched for a points igntion but didnt have any luck, but after searching this forum I found that you dont need the ECM (which is gone) to run the ignition? I'll run a weber carb, but any tech help would be highly appreciated.
