I found a 5 spd trany out of a 1997 Tracker to
put into my '93 Kick.
Question:
Are there anythings to look at to get an idea of it's
condition?? (it's out of vehicle).
I am thinking if there is fluid in it to drain it and look
at the fluid before I buy it??
Thanks

The 97 will have a different output spline than 93, you will need the drive shafts also or at least the slip yokes

Wrong. It is the tcase output shaft that has different splines, not the tranny.
The tcases will interchange between the trannys, so if it is 4x4, and if it comes with a tcase, just swap tcases.

Pardon me for being a bit confused..... So the transmission will
fit up with my transfer case? Both are 4x4

Yes. Your tcase will bolt up to the newer tranny.

What Sky is saying is the transfer case from the later Sidekicks 95 ? 96 + had a 16 spline output shaft at the rear. the front shaft is the same as yours and your trans will bolt up to your xfercase.
