Putting a power steering unit from a 95 Tracker into my 88.5 sammy. So far the adapter plate bolted the steering box to the frame with only a little problem. The bracket for the pump almost fits. Two out of three bolts aint bad (right ?). Now the pully on the pump is up against the bracket for the radiater, going to cut that off and refab and move the radiater. The steering arm down to the box seems about two inches to long. Also the high pressure line and the low pressure line are in the way of the steering link. It looks like I can take the banjo fittings off the box and move them around so there not as much in the way.
Any one have any advice? Is this the norm when going to power steering? Should I have used an older ( 93 sidekick box and pump? ) Anyone have pics of there coversion? ???
