Title: HELP!!!!

First I'm glad I found this place now the question,just got a 87 samurai had a crack in the distributor housing where it goes into the head marked it so i could tell where things went replaced it and now it wont start timing is off how is the best and easiest way to get it back?any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
