While I have not bought a built engine from anyone, I would recommend buying from Zack at zukiengines.com. From what I have read/heard, his attention to detail and workmanship are second to none.
I have not heard of anyone buying a built engine from samurai salvage...that could be good or bad, I guess.

Thanks for the input do you think 100 hp is reasonable? They use higher compresion pistons , cam ,weber & headers.
Does the guy at zukiengines have a high perf 1,3 motor?
Thank you for your comments

Well - since you ask - I don't think 100hp from the 8v 1.3 is that easy to achieve - it's rated at around 65 hp stock, there is a twin cam 16V version that does deliver 100hp, so it is possible, but on the 8V, that extra power will mean extensive top end modifications, and you can expect the power at the top of the rpm band, is that what you really need off road?

Well i just rebuilt my 1.3 with 9.5.0flate top pistons and had my machine shop custom ground midrage cam with Honda vavle springs. With the webber and header this thing rips on the freeway. You can actually feel it pull or come on the cam. My jeep buddies cant beleave on how good it runs.Note if you are running t-case gears dont put the low range cam in it you will not go faster than 55mph on the freeway.

That pretty much sums up my response too.
