All the rain we've had in PA makes for some good off-roading. Here's the action I have an "03 Tracker,auto, 2dr. etc, I upgraded the tires to 225/70-15 basic AT tread nothing serious, skid plates and K&N filter. I've had many other 4wds. in the past jeeps, fords and toyo's which were all trail worthy so I was somewhat hesitant about the Tracker because of it's low profile.
Well my pals have been raking me over the coals calling it the roller skate and other names.
In PA recently we've had lots of rain so out we went in Clearfield Co. One guy has a new TJ w/ 31 BFG's, trac lock rear so he was ready to bury me, the other one has a Toyo T-100 w/BFG's. They were under the impression I would either frequently get stuck or not follow them (they gave me a tow strap as a gift-wise guys).
They were shocked and impressed at the end of the day at the Silver Bullet's capabilities, never needed the strap. We were in some spots the Toyo guy wouldn't even try-the wimp. We went thru mud and water touching the bumper the Bullet never hesitated with better tires I would've taken them to some spots were they couldn't even turn around.
I just thought I would share this with you guys.
Any suggestions on tires that are a good compromise for street and dirt? I've been looking at a new General -AT ll tire that appears to be more aggressive than the BFG's. Anyone seen this tire?

I've had ATs, and I don't like how they pack with mud,
I almost got stuck on the beach in Mexico with the stock
tread Brigestone Desert Loosers, I swore then I would never
have crappy tires on the trucklet, MT tires tend to do well
in the sand and mud, yes they do wear faster, but it's a
tradeoff, and I think the BFGs are a 35-45,000 mile tire,
for about $100 you can get an MT tread in a BFG knockoff
like Pepboys or maybe some other discount tire places.

I'm with the Wild Man. I run Wrangler MT/R's in 31 X 10.50, and love 'em. Oh, yeah, you gotta lift the trucklet to run those. You'll never regret it.
