Anybody???

Was told the motor was from a 94....... But think I  read that the 16v came later.    & If this is the case, then my 94 harnice I have wont be able to run the 4 speed auto trans I want.

Some info that may help.....

The 4 speed auto only came in 4 door trackicks (with the exception of 91 4 doors).
The 3 speed auto only came in 2 door trackicks (and the 91 4 door, which only came with a 1.6 8V).

The 16V was first available in 92 4 doors.
The first year that a 16V was available in 2 doors was in 94.

So therefore, one way to tell if the 16V came from a 2 door or 4 door is to look at the intake manifold and see if it has a port for the 3 speed auto tranny vacuum modulator.  The vacuum port is located on the top of the cylinder 4 intake runner.  It is usually brown colored and it is threaded into the top of the #4 intake runner.

One final thought.....Is your harness for an auto tranny?  The 5 speed and the auto tranny harnesses are different.  So if you don't have a harness from a 4 speed auto trackick, you will have to get a different harness from one that had an auto tranny behind it.
