Anyhow, I got my truck fixed, finally.
We should go wheeling next week some time.
I'm installing my locker tomorrow night.
And hopefully, if money persists, I'll be picking up some longer shocks by Friday. (though I may be dreaming on this one :P)

BOY DID YOU MESS UP ::) That is exactly what I did when I decided to go from 29's to 33's ;D I just put on my body lift and there was a new set of 33's on new sitting in the shop floow waiting to be out on a friends jeep, so I bolted them on. Then the Bug hit :o Hammers, sawsall, grinding wheels and lots of time fit the 33's on my Kick with a Calmini 2" suspension and 3" Body lift ;D

I have a friend that put 32's on his stock tracker and got out the saw zall. It was an old junk tracker but it really looked nice that way (for a old tracker). The tires cleared everything nicely once everything was cut. He ran it that way untill he put a rod through the side of the block.
I'd like to find and old tracker to beat around and try stupied stuff like that.
-
i have 34's and only a 3in body lift. so i know all about it. lol but it did take alot of time and work to get this far. trying not to make it look like a pile was hard but doable. boy i can't wait to build a lift and get some of those new boggers. ;D

HAVE YOU TRIED OUT YOUR RIDE YET ON THAT NEW MODDED FRAME.....P.S. DID YOUR OLD MAN SAY, ARE YOU CRAZY :o, WHEN YOU TOLD HIM ABOUT LIFTING THE FRAME ??? MATTY D. 8)

we started it up and tuned it in but still hasn't moved yet. first run is next month so i have a few more things to do but it will be ready for a thrashing. i'm going to try the pond that no one will try in the spring. THE POND! makes you heart stop just saying it. i have never seen any one do it in the spring. normaly full to the top. its going to be sweet.

MAKE SURE SOMEONE TAKES PICS. EVEN IF ITS WITH A THROUGH AWAY CAMERA ...IT'LL BE GREAT ;D MATTY D. 8)

ya i'll have to get some one to man the camara for me. its going to be sick.  i can't wait.  thinking about it is even worse! and think if i don't get out fast enough than my tracker is toast is on my mind too. :'(

I have run my Sammy's under water before and they usually are driveable the next day. A kicks computer will not like the water and you can't seal it or moisture / condensation will kill it. I'm also doing a 16V 1.6 in my trail sammy (back burner) and I have come up with the idiea of mounting the computer in an up side down container that way it will catch an air pocket for the computer. I also beileve that i'd run 2 BIG boat bilge pumps. If you can continue to pump the water out fast enough the Kick will float, But a floating ride will not get any traction... Be careful used Kick computer w relays usually goes for about $100+ on Ebay... I'd have the strap and tow vehicle hooked up and ready.
Sounds like fun...

i have seen them mounted in those old army bullet contaners. just knoch(sp) the lid a bit then seal it up.

Yep, But it can't live long term sealed. Seal it up for a wet ride and pull the top when the ride is over. But the heating and cooling of the computer will cause the air to condense and water / moisture will form causing corrosion. But it's gotta be better than taking a swim...
-
i'm sure the water will be coming in over the back tailgate on a high point. but its not long so i most likely will make it.

What are you doing for air intake? Some kind of snorkle?
-
YEA STU MADE HIS OWN SNORKEL :o
-
i'll have to take a pic of it. its the slickest peace of my truck. it took about 2 hours and ZERO money. i used the stock air rammer thing all cut up and routed into the cab.

cant u just extend the wires for the computer so it sits inside the dash on the firewall up high?? or is that stupid?? sometimes i think like that =) lol
-
I have 33s with only a 4 inch body lift and some trimming

Take it to a radio repair shop and ask them to spray it with conformal coating. It'll protect the inside if you drown it. They shouldn't charge you a lot for the job.
