Title: What is the switch under my dash that goes to the gauges in my samurai?

I pulled apart the dash yesterday to work on the heat, and found a switch attached to the dash frame. It wires into the gauge cluster with 3 seperate single wire connectors. Any body know?

It turns off the check engine light, when it comes on because the odometer has reached a specific mileage interval.
