Title: wiper motor
Post by: leopoldsami on August 10, 2012, 08:59:18 PM
well I took my dash off to replace my heater core on my 86 sami, got it all back together just fine. I went to use my wipers, the went up I heard a loud thud the stopped right in my view so i had to push them down.  they wont even move let alone make a noise. I have worked 14 days in a row so havent had time to take anything apart. Do i just replace the motor or try to fix it?

I'd start by checking the linkage.

This.  If your lucky they just came off.  Also if your not hearing the motor run the fuse may have blown.

The wiper motor on my SJ-410 had a broken motherboard.  Some solder and bypassing fixed it right up.
