i agree with that..while the anvil will make the axel stronger u will still have the wussy aluminum down there
maybe ull get lucky and find a tolled GV lol theres a TON!!!!!!!! of em down here
hey speaking of that..maybe i should go there hmm..lemme know if theres any interest in that
the last time i went there to find a vent for my moms 01 GV there were maybe..10-15 GVs there that had been rolled or otherwise totaled

I was gonna spend my tax return on an Anvil.
But I've decided to put it towards T-Case gears now.
The reason being is that with the lower gears I won't have to rely on the loud pedal to get me over some obstacles.
The way I see it is, No loud pedal = No broken parts. :P

I wouldn't do the 3rd with out the rest of the steel housing,  just a Sammy steel 3rd could be had for dirt cheap / free but then you still have the weak first Gen CV's.  Anvil looks nice but then you still need to do the bigger CV's and drive hubs.
How much more does that bump up the cost? ÂÂ
Anvil, SOS CV's, and drive hubs...
   I'm guessing about $750 +  :-/  Ouch  :'(
And for T-case gears for about the cost of the Cal-mini kit I can do the OTT Kicker 3 and get high range reduction + low + sub low... But a serious Drive shaft mod will be necessary for the off set sammy case's compound angle.
ÂÂ
The sammy case will correct for 33's in Hi range... I can run my 34" Ltb's and use over drive....

Unless the have started giving the ott kicker 3 away, I can not see how you can purchase a samy t-case, an ott 3 kicker, and a custom drive shaft for less than the Calmini gears. Dont get me wrong I think it is a great set up as well, just not that cheap.
How much Heather?

I di dthe Anvil to get rid of the passenger side half shaft. Everyone had warned me about breaking the 3rd housing but I have never had that happen :-/ I have no Idea how because I drive this thing hard :-/ I went on and did them both. I was tired of picking axle parts out of my diff, and for the 300 extra dollars I was not going to risk breaking the housing.

I completely trashed the axle casing on mine but I haven't broken a 3rd member yet.
