I just got my first Sukuki Samurai. And i am feircly impressed with it. Its an all stock 1986 model which i plan on moding. So I hope you dont mind me poking around on here asking questions and soaking in some of this.
Ive had other native trucks and such but nothing that compares. I am only 19 and just begining my 4X'ing hobby but i think the Samurai is the perfect way to go.
And i have been wondering what any of you would feel the best modifications should be to the car. I want to lift it slightly and put some new shocks and such on it but this is the first time im going to be running solo on it so if you have any pointers they would be greatly apriciated.
I was also wondering what would be the best way to increase my gas mileage. And ontop of that I was wondering if the Charcole filter could hinder performance in any way since mine is mainly shot. Ok well i hope some of you answer this.

Hello newbie! ;D
J/K! Probably the best first mod you can do, is a basic spring over. It's good for about 4.5" of lift. It's relatively easy to do with little expense.
If you need a good idea where to start, pm me with your ph# and I will give you a call in the next few days.
Good to have you here!

Wow i got alot more answers then i expected but thats good. But yeah i had already decided to mainly spring over the car so i could have more range of movement. But at least this shows more people then me think it is a good idea.
But if any of you know what parts i should go for for quality would really help. And the cost factor is also important. Being a full time college student i dont have alot of extra cash and alkl. But yeah. Umm any other advice would help. Thanks guys. ;D
