Hi,
I bought a Samurai today. A 92 JL with 167000 miles. Very solid with just a little rust on the panel behind the door. Here is a picture until I get some more tomorrow.

So, my father and son accompanied me on the trip to pick up the Sami about an hour and a half away from my residence. It drives pretty good, nothing too crazy and pretty much as I expected. The top is shot on it and came off as soon as I got home. I should have taken it off before I started home, but it threatened to rain most of my 90 minutes in the Sami but never did.
As I said before, it has very little rust and what is there is surface only. No holes. The frame was undercoated and still is amazing.
I guess let the fun begin.

Looks clean!

It's dirty... The guy i bought it from drove it every day 18 miles on gravel roads with a top that wasn't fastening. The inside and outside are most likely the dirtyest vehicle I have ever been in.
But, it is clean as far as a fresh canvas to start my build! :)
Thanks for your help with my threads!

Very Nice!

Nice one!
Knowing your intent you might be intertested in some extra storage. I took a map pucket off a TracKick door and mounted it to the trans tunnel on the psgr side.

That looks like a great idea. I'll track something like that down.

Looks pretty stock, any plans? Lift?

I have lots of plans for it. I started a build thread that I'm trying to update as things get done. I finally have parts now, so updates should start up again.
The name of my build thread is: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.

That looks like a really good starting spot Rob. Be sure and snap lots of pics.
