My speedometer needle bounces a little when I am driving. It seems to be accurate but just bounces up and down a little. I read a while back that it could be that the cable just needs to be lubricated.
How do I lube the speedo cable?
Is it a big job?
How long should it take?
I couldn't find any of the old post that described the procedure.
Thanks

It could be the cable or the speedo itself - disconnect the cable at both ends and try dribbling light oil (sewing machine oil/gun oil/etc.) down the cable whilst rotating it slowly with an electric drill from the transmission end.

I don't know where the cable is attached on either end and how to get to it to oil it.

One end attaches to the speedo behind the dash panel and the other attaches to the t case housing.

Watching as I have had the same issue in mine for a while. I do have another cluster but would rather not have to do it.
