Me and my cousin was in the woods toady playing in the mud. My cousin got stuck and I winched him out. His zuke was running the whole time, he was on a decline when he stopped, we unhooked the winch cable and when he tried to back the rest of the way out of the hole it started running rough and when he hit the gas it would die. Got it on flat ground and still the same thing. He could feather the throttle and once it got up in the rpms it would run fine, let off throttle and it would die. It starts back up but idles rough and when you hit the gas it dies. Feathering the throttle he got going adn drove it and as long as he kept the rpms up it drove fine, ease off the gas to corner and it would die. Electric fuel pump seemed to still be working. We were thinking maybe accelerator pump in the carb? It is an 88 with stock carb. Thanks for any help.

No we checked that, checked plug wires to make sure they were on, took fuel filter off to see if trash was in it and checked to see if the fuel pump was pumping gas to the carb. Thats why we were thinking carb problem. Looking in the carb on the low end side when he hit the throttle we could not see gas shooting out of the jet. Not a carb expert and dont even know if you should see gas shooting out.
