Title: Silly Sammy axle Bearing Question

The rear axle (wheel) bearings on an 86 Samurai are outside of the axle seal. Do these bearings need to be packed before being pressed on?

all of the one's that I have seen have been a sealed bearing. so no.

No.  They are prepacked/prelubed.
