Speedytang I saw you at Bike Week in Daytona and your Tracker is the best built rig I have seen. You told me to reach you here or at the Mustang sites so I have left messages every place. What I need is to ask if you will build me the axle housings and sell me your motor mount kit. I understand that after people responded on the Mustang sites that your a busy person and probably at a race but if you could email me I will give you my number and you can call me collect.

The motor mounts will be ready for production probably in May. I will also have the transmission mount adapter and transfer case mounts done by then also. The Ford 8.8 front and rear axle housings will not be ready till later probably around June. The 5.0 wiring harness you can purchase from Jegs or Summit or pull from a yard. You do need at least a 2" body lift for the Mustang dual exhaust to clear like mine and also the electric shift from a Ranger is what I am using so you will not need a transfer case handle and you can mount the selector on the dash in the location on the switch blanks on the right of the steering wheel. I would also use the front shafts from the Ranger also. With this setup I have 6" lift with coilover springs and you will need rims with late model Ford Mustang lug spacing. The brakes on the front seem to work fine with the factor brake equipment I used stainless brake lines and a adapter for the master cylinder. The Ranger shafts are long so you will need at least a 4" spring lift and I have measured a 8" spring would work fine. I have the mini shafts for the transmission to transfer case. My setup uses a 94 Mustang engine and 5 speed and will pass emissions with the stock H-Pipe. With the 32" tires I put 4.10 gears in the front and rear and it really feels like a Mustang exept it weighs 1000lbs less. I am talking burnouts with all Fours when nailed to the floor. I do use the stock Truetrac front and rear.

speedytang builds 5.0 engines (Turbo or Supercharger equipped). He has put a 5.0 in his Tracker with the 5speed and 8.8 rearend front and rear with independant front suspension. The thing just totally rocks. I seen his Mustang he was racing the following weekend when he was at Daytona for Bike Week and it runs 11's and is driven daily. speedytang is well known I found out when posting on the Mustang sites looking for him. He is putting a supercharger on the Tracker as we speak and he still gets 22mpg and will be at about 450hp. His tracker looks stock under the hood and the interior was not even changed except no transfer case handle and he make custom drink holder in that location and it looks like a stock holder. He just told me that 36" tires will be on it next month because he is putting the 8" springs on it. I took pictures in Daytona and it is just a sweet build. He took out of a mall parking lot across from the track and the front end was pointing north with the 225hp engine and I bet with the supercharger it will lift the front end...LOL

Don't have time to list now but when time allows I will post a link to my site with pictures but it only took 6 hours to mount the trans and engine and have the Tracker started and ready to run. Both axles mounted 4 hours and brakes 2 hours. Front new hubs both sides 2 hours with my replacement steel hubs and 3 hours for the front suspension drop.(Full Size Chevy Method-Fabtech Style) Front and rear springs with coil overs front 1 hour and rear with long arms attached 30 minutes. I will probably offer a complete kit front to back except you supply engine and transmission. All the parts listed will and can handle 400 hp in 4WD and 1000hp in rear drive only. I build 1400hp using the Ford 8.8 with never a failure my only part that needs upgraded in my kit is the ranger/explorer transfer case into a full size unit to handle the horsepower.

o yah buddy, i love suzukis but i think you are thinkin quite a bit of them, i know probly about over 100 fords that could plant you on your ass, for instanse, my bro's friend has a 2002 ford f-250 superduty 7.3L diesel, lots of engine mods and stuff, lift, it has over 500hp and over 1000 pound ft. of tourqe, it kills almost every vehicle that i have seen around here, so please do your self a favour and shut your mouth, before you make even a bigger fool of your self.

How could I cause so much trouble by using parts available to me. This was not to cause negative feed back I was just responding to a posting, I was not even going to post what I have done to my Tracker. The cost of $1800 (estimated) using lots of used parts. I only paid $3200 for my Tracker and it only had 25k miles on it when purchased in December. To find someone to purchase even if it does pass emissions in all 50 states and gained 125% increase in horsepower and 500% in drivetrain durability would be difficult even if it still averages 22mpg. I don't like mixed vehicles either like Chevy engines in Fords but the Suzuki parts market is slim and Ford parts are easy to find and usually stock parts are cheap. I live out in the no place zone and this makes a good vehicle for ME to drive to my shop in the Winter. Like said above the purpose of this was to respond to wayuphigh on what it takes to build.

To me.....there is nothing like the rumble of an american v-8......nothing gets my blood pumping more. My friend has a Nova with built 350 makin about 500 horse and it makes your heart sputter when you stand next to it. Ground shaking power........and nothing like setting off car alarms with your exhaust.....heheheh. I just think firing up your zuk with the rumble of an 8 would be awesome.

I don't understand why everyone is so against a 5.0 why would it suck off road? Sure it weighs more but it also makes more power. Its also cool as hell. So I assume everyone thats seen the v-8 Samurai thinks thats stupid too......

I agree with everyone that says that having a V8 in a Trackick would be awesome... any small block would kick ass. As for causing it to handle differently offroad, you'd just need to adjust your driving style and not try to drive it like it's a Trackick with the stocker 1.6L...

I will take some pictures and post. Just so severyone knows I went to a scale today and with a full tank of gas it weighed at 2628 lbs. I also have the engine against the firewall and the front axle weight only went up at the wheels 136lbs. This truck really handles no different and you do not notice the weight difference. I bet you anyone that has converted to a straight axle on the front of a Trackick with the stock motor weighs more on the front wheels than I do. I am just surprised how this has went on this site because all my Mustang guys think that is a excellent build and have not heard one negative comment on the other sites. I guess Ford guys understand the creation of a Mini-Monster better. I will post pictures and you guys can decide if 450hp Supercharged Trackick is worth the investment.

the extra weight i have in the back my kick would ballance that out nicely lol
some of u guys also gota remember alot of people cant afford a tow rig..so being able to do 70 to the trail would be really really really nice..and having to dodge people when u merge on the freeway
but i still want to see pics =)

well the 5.0 from the mustangs didnt weigh THAT much so i mean it isnt going to add like 900lbs with just the enigne
well see i guess when we get pics..its either i do the 5.0 swap..or the cummings 4cyl turbo diesel =)

also the diesel thing sounded good before..because it runs like 250hp 350TQ or something like that..and i belive it does that at super super low RPMs...plus a new engine complete is only like 1500 lol..which costs less then the HU im going to buy =)

The weight today was with my stock tires and rims and no back seat. I have my 32's off since I was playing with my coil height. I will go to a Certified Cat Scale this afternoon and will get total weight and front nose weight again. I know the tires weigh 60-70lb more each and the steel wheels probably another 15lbs each. I was not in the vehicle and the tank was full. Yes it is fuel injected and I can pick up 5.0 engines complete with harness and ready to run for about $600 and with transmission about $850. I paid $750 for engine and transmission with 45k miles and it was complete. I was looking for a 94-95 engine only because I wanted the Tracker to be allowed to pass emissions and I own a 94. The other thing is if you don't use a 94-95 engine you will need a upper intake off of a 94-95 anyways because the upper on these years have a elbow bend molded into the upper and it allows the engine to clear the inner fender with the body lift. I measured today and I was thinking you could get away with a 2" body lift but it does need to be a 3" because not enough room for the transfer case to clear the floor if you don't because how the transfer case needs rotated for the front driveshaft. I will work on a article with pictures when I get back from my race in Ga. this weekend. I don't have a digital camera so I will take 35mm pictures then scan them into the article and get permission from the Moderator and send him the document for you to see what I have done and show you guys my Jig for the front end which I cut to correct length using my original and put endcaps on from a Ranger and use those half shafts after they are cut and balanced. The frontend was the most expensive to do because of the half shafts and the spindals for Ranger bearings but I did not want a solid front end but that would be much easier and I would still keep the struts with coil overs. The rear end took nothing to build just put adjustable rods on the rear for the new 6" coilover shocks and it was done. The lift kit which is like the Pro-Explorer and Fabtech for the full size Chevy works great and if your worried about clearance that is what the large tires are for just like on the new lift kits for all your fullsize. Well we have a 4WheelParts store in Columbus and I think they have a Ratio Ramp but this thing will flex but how well I will need to see. This setup would be wicked on a 2WD Trackick and you would not need the body lift just my mounts and the rearend. It was fun now someone wants me to convert a Sportage and use a Ford 4.6. This could become a career I don't have time for except maybe in early Spring when my business is slow
