Post by: McDube on April 01, 2004, 07:40:22 AM
hello everyone. ive been a zooki fan for some time however i install tile for a living and need a big truck to haul. (by the way it is a 98' chevy 2500 4x4 w/ 9" lift 35" tires and a 454). my neighbor bought a sidekick from an older couple in awsome shape but rearended some one. smashed the front, hood and fenders and the radiator is busted. im buying it this week end and planning on making it into strickly off-road purpose vehicle.

ok sorry for the long info just wanted to get ya aquainted w/ me. now for the ?'s.  i know some will kringe when i sat this but i want to weld the rear diff to be permanantly locked not sure bout whether to do it to the front. so im not sure what exactly to weld. any one know.

my rear diff. is welded. ;D i have been beating it all summer,  works great.  but if you have never been in a rear end before,  take it some where to get welded.  you have to break the whole 3rd member down to weld the spider gears on top with some super hardcore welds to get it so it won't break and if you don't know how to do it then you most likely mess it up.
