hey everyone,
im wondering which trackers/sidekicks came with power steering stock? is it the JLX model?
TIA for the help
-
Not all JLXs I have one and it's not equiped.
Seems more Trackers have it tho, even basic
models seem to have it
-
i have a 97 suzuki jx  factory power steering
-
My 91 LSI leaks P/S fluid. ::)
My buddies 90 base model is P/S free.
I wouldn't want to wheel 11.5 wide tires with out it.
-
well thats what my thaughts are i need to get a power steering kit
-
i dont think it kmatter si think it was an option when u bought them kminda like mags r options now you know that kinda thing
-
my 93 has it and it has almost no options.  all its got is 4 wheel drive and P/S.

maybe not then?? i dont know

With all my experience with zukis, I have found no consistencies with the p/s theory.
-
ok thanks

Bah... PS is for sissies ;D
My 91 Tracker has none... and I run 33x12.50's... gotta love that jerking in the ruts ::)
-
bahhhhhhhh i want PS!!!!!!!!!! ;)
-
No PS and I run 33x13.5-15 Swampers,
keep your thumbs out of the steering
wheel spokes, or it might knock one of
them off, I need a Steering Stabilizer.

Do you still have both thumbs? ;)
-
Both my JLX 4-doors had PS, and my JX 4-doors ALSO had PS, but my JX 2-door (my trail rig) DOESN'T have PS.  Thank God it has a steering stabilizer!
Some day, I think I'll put in a complete Howe hydraulic ram steering system.

Doesn't power steering just break shit in Track/kicks?
-
My plain jane 94 has PS...

(Post Hyjack)  sorry...  Thought I'd throw in an intro.
Thanks  Stu &  guys.  This place rocks for IFS tech. I've been surfing like mad to figure out the details.  I started on Tuesday with a 2" body and then chucked the 34's on, Poser Picture.  I've got 4-dr GV coils on the way this weekend + a set of XJ coil spring spacers (Ebay $20 last year XJ project gone bad). As of this Friday I'll have 14 days until we hit the trails.

ANyway I'v been on the Zuwharrie board for the last few years and been building Sammy's since 95.
This is my first Kick and I'm excited,  but I feel like i've been in a hole for the last few years as lots of IFS tech has sprung up that I was not aware of. ÂÂ
I'll be cutting and dropping the A-arm, housing, and strut tower stuff next week + cutting the fenders.
Here's a pic of my Sammy from the Fall Zuwharrie run last year.  it's SPOA on 38x16-15 TSL's

NO NO NO!  don't cut the A arms and move them down.  get a lift kit.  you lose ground clearance  but going that.  and if your cheap, check out the They WILD thread.  he has a $150 3in lift on their.  theirs lots to learn about all the little tricks to kickers.
P.S. my pic below is on 36's, but i normaly have 34in swampers on it.
