Hey Ya'll
I am new to the world of Samurais and was looking for some input on what to get--Tin Top or soft top, Stock suspension or lifted, what to avoid or what to look for as far as modifactions go? Here are two Samurais I am looking at any input would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

What is your goal? Are you going to build one up or leave it close to stock?
The tin top looks like a better deal if you are going to lift it anyway. The tires are half the value of the tin top by themselves.

Mostly depends on what you want... how much you want to spend... what you are willing to do....
I like the tin top of the 2. But, I prefer the rag top vs a tin top. I like the ability to go topless in the warmer days.
There are usually a pretty good selection of Zuks in the Indy / Louisville / Cincy area. I watch them on a regular basis since I live close to Indy.
Always looking for parts.... :-)
Have Fun! Tux...

The goal is a daily driver with some light off roading once in a blue moon. 120 mile round trip four days a week, all 60 mph roads.

Toss up then, the tin top will be quite but I'm not sure if anything was changed to correct for the big tires. The soft top will be better at maintaining speed I assume, but it will not be much fun to drive 120 mikes a week.

Both seem kinda "pricey",but I like the soft-top.Paid $1400 for mine,just sayin!!

Thank you for all of your input and information! I think I am going to pass on these two samurais and keep looking. I appreciate each of you who took time to share. Will pop back in here as I find others! Will continue to hang out , read and learn.
Thanks again !
