Title: Sami not starting
Post by: djmillett on November 17, 2012, 12:02:41 PM
So, I'm excited for my first Sami project. I have an '88 that was rolled 2 1/2 times and is running then I just picked up a '87 that is in good condition but not running.

I'm looking for some ideas on what might be going on with the '87 and I'm sure there are a lot smarter people on here than me.

It has power to the distributer and coil and it cranks but no spark. Probably something simple? Any ideas? Thanks.

BTW: how good did I do? I paid $600 for the '88 and $800 for the '87.

Make sure the ECM ( black box under the dash around the glove box) did not come loose or might have went bad.  Also make sure the rotor is turning and your timing belt is intact.
