Title: 4.3 with tranny ?

I plan on putting in a 4.3 vortec in a 87 suzuki samurai i dont plan on buying any kits for it.
my question is why is the 200r4 used a lot in this set up and where is the most likly place to find
a manual i cant find one or could i use like a s10 stock tran with a t case on it in this set up
any advice would be nice thank you

I did it with the 700r4. It was a tough fit but I wanted a auto. I made all motor/tranny/transfer case mounts. If I may ask why do you want a manual?
