Title: Sidekick ARB Locker: need to switch from 27 to 26 spline side gears
Post by: darnold87 on November 21, 2012, 01:42:09 AM: So I bought a fully setup 12-bolt Sidekick diff with new ARB locker installed. After it arrived, I realized it has the upgraded 27 spline side gears (for running the larger / stronger shafts). For my application, I'd rather run OEM 26-spline shafts, so I need to source some 26 spline ARB side gears.

Any suggestions? I'd be happy to trade my 27 spline ARB side gears for someone's 26 spline ARB side gears...

I emailed them all the details and a tech is supposed to get back to me.
The problem is, you CAN buy the regular 26 spline side gears, but they come with the planetaries as well, and that kit is like $382.

Sooo, now I just need to find a home for these 27 spine ARB side gears. These are actually Dana 30 ARB side gears that Trail Tough was using to build "The Big Rear End" for samurai's with the hybrid Sidekick rear axle. So I suppose my best chance to sell them will be to a Jeep person, or someone running a Dana 30.

Post by: darnold87 on November 21, 2012, 01:47:35 PM: Hey Drone... just saw your post. I think "The Big Rear End" axle setup ran custom shafts. They were like 2mm larger.
