Title: 1.3 FI bouncing idle
Post by: TheLastSamurai on August 19, 2015, 12:19:54 AM
Hello all, I have a 1991 JL and it has a recently rebuilt 1.3 with FI. It starts and idles up just fine and drives smooth. Once its warm however, the idle seems to bounce a little bit, almost like there's a miss but with out actually missing. Has anyone ever experienced this? Any advice appreciated.

In case anyone was wondering, I found info that the throttle position sensor or valve may cause this issue. I was told to clean it and recalibrate.

First off, check for vacuum leaks all round the hoses, also check that the EGR is working correctly.

no vacuum leaks, did a spray test, no bad hoses.

Same issue here, looking for answers.  No vacuum leaks and it runs fine otherwise, but when you stop or slow down at a light it starts a pulsing idle... annoying!
