Title: EGR valve
Post by: zukinewby on September 22, 2015, 05:29:05 PM
Hi, I have a 2001 4dr Tracker Auto 4x4...suddenly my gas mileage has gone way down
and it won't idle once its warmed up...stalls out if stop or slow down to too much.
Could this be the EGR valve and if so is it an easy fix to remove & clean it?
Vehicle is stock except for 225/75/15 All Terrain tires

do you have the ses (service engine soon) light on?...... if is I would check the codes and go from there. but it could be o2 sensor or cat

Hi, no sensor on. I have replaced Crank shaft sensor O2 sensor and exhaust is good.

It could also be a clogged cat
