The other day my steering semed a lil' more sloppy than usual so I took a peak to see what might be causing this and I noticed the Knuckle felts/seals were popping out a little.
So my question (I did a search under this topic and found nothing ???I could just be blind),
Is this as simple as just removing the seal plates and slapping a new set in?I dont believe I need the whole kit with bearings.
Any help is appreciated!! :)

That easy.
Unless you have a very fine sense of sloppy, probably won't fix your steering.

when I replaced mine years ago it made a huge difference in reducing the slop

The felts bulging is more of another symtom rather than a cause. What is probably going on is that your king pins are worn out causing the whole knuckle assembly to wobble out of place which would make for loose steering and bulging seals. Jack the vehicle up and wiggle the tire from top to bottom to see if there is slop.
Good luck, Eric

Could be bad trunnion bearings too!
