Well no shit Westy, I grew up in Campbellford, now in Ottawa. Was in town this past weekend delivering some Toy parts to a buddy in Warkworth.
You a member of any of the local clubs? You should check out Under the Northern Lights this year in Warkworth, get quite a collection of trucks there for a couple of days to mix up some action.

Yeah that was me,  good to see another local guy,  I will look into the Warkworth thing.  I drive throught there every week on my way to work in Mississauga.
BTW I have a 82 VW diesel pickup I'd like to swap for a Sammy or Kick in good shape. It's a great little truck, but it's not up to the task of navigating the 400 series highways here in Ontario.

WOW!!! People really do live there.
-
Sure, there's about 30 million of us, give or take a few illegal aliens...
If we were spread apart the country evenly, there would only be 1 person per 1.5 sqaure mile!!!
There is you trivia for the day.

Well, I wouldn't say I'm "local" anymore, it's 3 hours away, 226 Kms from my door to my parents (stupid triva obtained with my new GPS). You go through Warkworth to get to Mississauga? What do you call that, the long way? You must live on the C'ford side of Stirling, can't see any other reason as to why you'd be going that way. If you ever see my 'Kick ('93, white, lots of rust, cb antenna off the tire carrier) at Tim Hortons (in C'ford) stop and say hi. I'll be the big son of a bitch hanging near by. 6"2' and 325 lbs qualifies me as the big SOB I think.

Since I'm mentioning Canadian events (of course, you yanks are welcome too if you wanna travel this far), Canada Day (July 1st for the uninformed) weekend the Ottawa Valley Offroaders (http://ovo.ca) will again be holding Suzican, 1 hour outside of Ottawa.
Westy, we do have stock rides, along with modified and of course Super modified events.  If you have no plans I highly suggest making this your stop for the weekend.  I had a blast last year and am looking forward to this year.  The event site is http://suzican.ca .  Kerry, are you going to make it this year?  I'd really like some 'Kick support there, last year there was only 2 of us, the rest were Sami's.

And here I thought I was a fair size at 6ft 240lbs, will keep a lookout for ya. I visit Campbellford quite often, and usually stop at Timmies for a coffee. I take the "back" way west to work. I use what used to be called the Kirby sideroad to 115 then Taunton to county rd 57 or 59, not sure which. I then strike off on county rd 7 to Brooklyn where I meet up with hwy 7 then onto 407. It's slower than 401, but much less boring and stressfull. My last trip home last Tuesday allowed me to play in the snow drifts that accumulate on county rd 7 east of Brooklyn ;D. I also ride a Goldwing so I've learned that the trip sometimes is more important than the destination.

Small world eh? You're driving right past my parents place and the property where UTNL is held. When you come out of Warkworth (on 29 I assume to get to Kirby), the top of the hill past the cemetary, turn right (2nd consession maybe?) and the event is down there, just before the buffalo farm. If you want to take a trip down that road some day, the place is a reddish stained house (right up by the road, just as you go over the 3rd hill) with a large attached garage, and a barn 200 ft just past it, lots of Toyota's in the yard (ok, I think he's got the fleet down to 2 now). That's where I spend most of my time when I do come down, usually hauling Toy parts down for his trucks. If you do take that route some day just for a change of scenery, make the next left (or follow the road all the way to the end) and it will bring you right back to 29.
