Title: bored in Portland
Post by: Ridjobradi on October 14, 2015, 09:16:31 AM
I am working in Portland for the next few months.  If anyone needs an extra set of hands while working on their rig or anything else, let me know.

I normally go home every weekend, but the flight schedule to my local airport doesn't leave me much time at home.

So what are you doing in the big city of Portland

Doing a little project for a tech company just outside the city.  I tried to get a Jeep rental, but they were out.

Do you have any Sidekick projects underway?  I am definitely interested in seeing the coil-over setup or any other projects you have.

You just missed the Tuna season . If you'd been here last month I'd have you crew for me . We had a blast.
I'm just starting a Nissan 720 SAS conversion ( micro expedition vehicle ) Nothing much to see yet though . Still sorting the tear down .

Tuna would have been awesome.  I did get to motor up the Columbia last week for salmon.  We got one super jack that we could keep.

Kreator - Thank you for the time that you spent with me Saturday.  I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your shop and your rigs.  I look forward to bringing my rig out and trying the coilover setup on my rig.

I will get back there again.  It was a nice drive.  You have a great Bosnian restaurant in town.  I lived in Macedonia for a while and it was great to have similar food in Astoria.

If you're around this weekend you could come out and say hi at the Fall Classic. It's possible to drive a regular car right to camp provided it's not snowing. We'll be out on the trail during the day but you could hang out with us in the evening.

Just a thought, Eric

I fly back to Portland today and will try to rent a pickup or a Jeep.  Just don't throw things at me if I arrive in a Jeep :).  They haven't had any for the last 2 months.

Pretty bummed I won't be making it over next year.  I'll have to do some driving over in Oregon this summer to make up for it.

The Fall Classic is an 'all makes' adventure. There will be Jeeps, Toyotas, etc.. there. Honestly, getting to camp can be done in a Subaru...
