Sammi Owners,
I have a 1.6 16 valve in my sammi, im noticing some oil coming from the bottom right of the timing belt cover, could be my front oil seal???? other than remove belt, fan and pully, is the replacement for this part pretty straight forward? or is ther something i need to be aware of? any info would be greatly appreciated.

For a crank seal replacement, it's as straight forward as they come - what I would suggest, is that you turn the engine to TDC and line up the cam & crank timing marks before removing the belt & pulley, it makes it a little easier to retime when reassembling.
Also, when last was that timing belt replaced? Given the labor involved it might be worth your while to replace both cam & crank seals, the water pump, the timing belt & tensioner pulley.

Don't get the Timken Seal (710310). I just fought with one for two evenings trying to install it before going to the GM dealer and getting the AC-delco one. It went in as intended.
The Timken one seemed to be slightly large OD and slightly small ID.
